Elaina is a native of Rome, and a life-long servant of the Rome Floyd County community. She currently serves on the Advisory Board for Northwest Georgia Housing Authority (NWGHA), the Rome/Floyd Library Board, and as the Education Chair for the East Rome Crossing Education Working Group. She served two elected terms on the Rome City School Board, and on the Georgia School Board Association (GSBA) where she served one elected term as the District 7 Director. She has served as an Ex Officio member of the Rome/Floyd Parks and Recreation Board, the Greater Rome/Floyd County Habitat for Humanity Board and on the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce Board as Vice-Chair for the Education Workforce Talent and Recruitment Division and Vice-Chair for the Business and Professional Division. In 2012, she served as a Program Chair for Leadership Georgia. She was appointed by the Rome City Commission to the Rome/Floyd County Planning Commission and served from 2008 until 2013.
Elaina is employed by the Northwest Georgia Housing Authority, where she labors in multiple roles. She serves as the Navigator of Project SOAR, a program which helps low income children in grades 9 through 12. Her work focuses on school retention, and assists high school graduates with enrollment in technical schools or a four- year colleges, and prepares graduates for job readiness. She trains and assists NWGHA’s tax credit housing managers on day to day management operations.
She is a graduate of Anna K. Davie Elementary, West Rome High School, Floyd Junior College, Jacksonville State University, Leadership Rome (2000), Leadership Georgia (2011), and was a Heart of the Community Award Honoree (2016). Her husband, Rickey, is the proud owner of Beemans Management Association (B.M.A.) Lawncare and Landscaping Services, LLC. They have three children, Malik, Rachael, & Kelsey, who are all are graduates of Rome City Schools. Elaina and her family are active members at Thankful Missionary Baptist Church.
