Community Development Block Grant Program
Overview

After 21 excellent years of working with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) in the CDBG Small Cities Program, in 2004 Rome was named the principal City of the Floyd County Metropolitan Statistical area. This designation started a new relationship with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and enabled Rome to access Entitlement CDBG funds on an annual basis. As of July 2007 our average Entitlement Award is approximately $570,000.These funds must be used primarily to benefit low income persons (based on family size and income); eliminate slum and blight or; address an urgent need.

By clicking on the Program Years listed below you can see what projects or activities have been funded by this CDBG Program.
