Jim Bojo, Commissioner & Mayor - Ward One
Biography
Jim Bojo serves as the Mayor of Rome, Georgia, having been selected by his fellow commissioners to lead the City Commission for the upcoming year. A resident of Rome for more than five decades, Mayor Bojo brings deep community ties and a strong dedication to public service to his role. He continues to represent Ward One, where he has long been an active and committed voice for its residents.
Throughout his service, Mayor Bojo has demonstrated steady, collaborative leadership. He has participated in numerous local initiatives, including serving on the citizen’s SPLOST Advisory Committee, Rome-Floyd Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, reflecting his commitment to enhancing quality of life throughout the community. His involvement in issues such as workforce housing, public safety, and community development showcases his focus on strengthening Rome’s long-term success.
As Mayor, he provides guidance, continuity, and representation for the City Commission, working closely with city staff, community partners, and fellow elected officials to help move Rome forward. His longstanding connection to the city and his thoughtful leadership reflect his passion for making Rome a vibrant and welcoming place to live, work, and raise a family.
Jim and his wife, Donna, are dedicated members of Fellowship Church, where Jim serves as a Deacon, Sunday Teacher, and actively participates on various committees. Together, they enjoy contributing to their church and engaging in community activities. Jim and Donna are proud parents of two children and grandparents to seven.
