Biography

Jill Fisher has called Rome home for more than 20 years. She and her husband, Mark, moved to the community to establish his dentistry practice and raise their family, and investing in Rome has remained a top priority ever since.

Over the years, Jill has been deeply involved in the community through volunteer service and leadership. While raising their three children and supporting the bookkeeping for Fisher Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, she volunteered within Rome City Schools and with several local nonprofit organizations. She currently serves on the Board of the Sexual Assault Center of Northwest Georgia and is an active member of Rome Rotary, Leadership Rome, ESP Rome, and the Congregational Life Ministry Team at First Presbyterian Church. Jill has also served as Board Chair of Good Neighbor Ministries for the past nine years.

Jill previously served two terms on the Rome City School Board, including roles as Vice Chair and Board Chair, and represented the district as a District Director for 21 school systems in northwest Georgia through the Georgia School Boards Association. These experiences gave her a strong appreciation for how effective elected boards operate and reinforced the importance of collaboration, fiscal responsibility, and clear communication.

Jill and Mark’s three children are all graduates of Rome High School, and she enjoys watching them grow into young adults. Her hope that they will one day return to Rome to raise their own families continues to fuel her passion for strengthening the community and building a positive future for Rome.
