Department Overview

The Finance Department is a service department for the City of Rome employees and residents. The department is under the direction of Toni Rhinehart, Finance Director, and employs eight full-time staff members. The department is responsible for:

  • Accounting for fixed assets
  • Annual audit
  • Assists in the City budget planning
  • Financial reporting
  • Invoicing for payment to vendors
  • Making investments
  • Payroll processing
  • Tax reporting, W-2, and 1099 filing
